Itinerary

Week 1 - New Delhi to Satna (1022 kms)

Day 1: Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, embark on a boat ride to GUPTAR Ghat, the site where Lord Ram concluded his Avtar. Later, experience the evening Arti ceremony along the Saryu River.

Day 2: Begin the day with darshan at HANUMAN GARHI, followed by a visit to the world-famous SHRI RAM LALLA TEMPLE, the birthplace of Lord Ram. Explore KANAK BHAWAN, a palace believed to have been gifted to Mata Sita by Mata Kaikai. Continue to other significant sites connected to Lord Ram in Ayodhya.

Day 3: Check out from the hotel and proceed to GAURA GHAT, where Shri Ram, Sita, and Laxman crossed the Tamsa River under the cover of night. Continue to Shringverpur, where Nishadh Raj Kewat assisted them in crossing the Holy River Ganga. Stay overnight at a hotel in Prayag Raj.

Day 4: Visit Rishi Bhardwaj Ashram, where Shri Ram spent some time, and enjoy a boat ride to the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers (Triveni Sangam) at Prayag Raj. Overnight stay at a hotel in Prayag Raj.

Day 5: Check out and proceed to CHITRAKOOT. En route, visit Rishi Valmiki Ashram in Lalapur, the birthplace of Luv and Kush. One has to climb 365 stairs to reach the caves of Valmiki Ashram. Explore Bharat Koop, Ram Ghat, and other significant sites before checking into a hotel for rest.

Day 6: Since Shri Ram spent more than 11.5 years of his exile in Chitrakoot, therefore, there are many places said to be connected to his stay. Explore such various places including Ram Shaiya, Sita Sarovar, Sphatic Shila, Rishi Atri Ashram, Sati Ansuya Ashram, Gupt Godavari, and Kamad Giri. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Visit Amarawati Ashram, Viradh Kund, Siddha Pahad, Sarbhang Ashram, Suteekshan Ashram, and Markandey Ashram. Expect some forest roads and a possible short walk in the forest. Stay overnight at a hotel.

Cities to Visit: NEW DELHI – AYODHYA – PRAYAG RAJ – CHITRAKOOT – SATNA

Week 2 - Satna to Khammam (1490 kms)

Day 8: Check out from the hotel and head to Sita Madi Harchouka. En route, make a stop at Sita Madi Gandhiya in Shahdol, where Shri Ram spent a night and had dinner. The next destination is Sita Madi Harchowka, situated on the bank of the Mabai River, known for the ancient Ram Padam temple/caves. Stay overnight in a hotel.

Day 9: Check out from the hotel and proceed to Bishrampur for darshan at Ram Mandir. Stay overnight.

Day 10: Depart from Bishrampur and continue to Shiverinarayan. On the way, explore Sita Bangara-Jogimara Caves, where Shri Ram and Mata Sita are believed to have stayed for a few days. These caves are known as the Theater. Enjoy a night stay at Shiverinarayan.

Day 11: Visit the confluence of River Mahanadi-Jonk and Shivnath, a place where Shabari is said to have offered ber (berry) to Shri Ram. Explore the Nar-Narayan Temple, Mata Shabari Temple, and the ancient Laxmanehwar Temple, surrounded by a Banyan tree with leaves shaped like cups. Stay overnight in the same hotel.

Day 12: Check out and visit Ram Diwala Temple at Sirpur, followed by a visit to Turturia Dham, a Valmiki Ashram where the sound of the river is unique. Stay overnight in Rajim.

Day 13: Experience darshan at Telin Mata Mandir and Harihar Temple, followed by a visit to the confluence of River Mahanadi-Pairi and Sondur. Explore Harhar and Rajiv Lochan Temple before staying overnight in a hotel.

Day 14: Check out and proceed to Chitrakot Water Falls. En route, visit Sihawa, home to the Ashram of Shringi Rishi and the surrounding mountains with Ashrams of Sapt Rishi. Chitrakot Falls on the Indrawati River features a Shiv Temple where Shri Ram stayed for a few days. Enjoy a night stay in a Chattisgarh Tourism Resort (Jagdalpur).

Cities to Visit: SATNA – GANDHIYA(SHAHDOL) – SITA MADI HARCHOUKA – BISHRAMPUR – RAMGARH – SHIVERINARAYAN – TUTURIA – SIRPUR – RAJIM – SIHAWA – CHITRAKOT – DANTEWADA – SUKMA – PARNSALA – KHAMMAM

Week 3 - Khammam to Pune (1219 kms)

Day 15: Take a day of relaxation at the resort.

Day 16: Check out and travel to Sukma via Dantewada. Dantewada is home to a Devi Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peeths. Stay overnight in Sukma.

Day 17: Check out and proceed to Khammam. Stay overnight in Khammam.

Day 18: Explore Parnsala and Bhadrachalam. According to recent research, it is suggested that the actual Panchwati is located here, where Shri Ram created a Parn Kuti. Mata Sita was abducted by Ravan at this site, and there is a sample Parn Kuti inside the temple. The temple is situated on the bank of the Godavari River. Close to the temple, visit Sita Saree, where it is said that the nose and ears of Surpnakha was cut by Shri Laxman. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 19: Check out and proceed to Karim Nagar. Visit the Shri Ram Temple in Ilndakunta and stay overnight in Karim Nagar.

Day 20: Check out and head to Nizamabad, visiting Skandh Rishi Ashram in Sindur village. Stay overnight.

Day 21: Check out and proceed to Buldhana. En route, make a stop at Panchpsar Temple in Lonar. Stay overnight in Buldhana.

Cities to Visit: KHAMMAM – KARIMNAGAR – NIJAMABAD – LONAR,BULDHANA – NASHIK – SARV TIRTH,PUNE – PUNE

Week 4 - Pune to Koppal, Hampi (1009 kms)

Day 22: Check out and continue the journey to Nashik, covering a distance of 317 KM. Stay overnight in Nashik.

Day 23: Explore Panchwati, Kalaram Temple, the Godavari River, and the Hanuman Temple. Stay overnight.

Day 24: In the morning, visit Trayambkeshwar Mahadev and enjoy a day of relaxation.

Day 25: Check out and proceed to Pune. En route, visit Igat Puri and the Jatayu Temple at Sarv Tirth, where it is believed that Shri Ram cremated Jatayu. Stay overnight in Pune.

Day 26: Check out and proceed to Usmanabad, with a stop for darshan at Shri Ram Vardayani in Tuljapur. Stay overnight.

Day 27: Check out and continue the journey to Bijapur, visiting Ram Tirth in Kini Gaon-Bori and Ram Linga in Aalmel, Bori. Stay overnight.

Day 28: Check out and proceed to Belgaum. En route, visit Rameshwar and Ram Tirth on Krishna River. Stay overnight.

Cities to Visit: PUNE – MAHUR, USMANABAD – SHOLAPUR – BIJAPUR – BELGAUM – BALKOT(Bagalkot) – KOPPAL (Hampi)

Week 5 - Hampi to Tiruchirapalli (917 kms)

Day 29: Check out and continue the journey to Hampi. Along the way, pay homage at Ram Tirth in Jamkhandi, and at Cauveri in Bagalkot. Stay overnight in Hampi.

Day 30: Explore all the sites connected to Shri Ram Yatra, including Hanuman Halli, Ragunath Temple, Kishkindha Parvat, Rishyamuk Parvat, Shabari Ashram, and Pampa Sarovar.

Day 31: Enjoy a free day to visit Raja Krishnadev Rai’s Vijay Nagaram.

Day 32: Check out and proceed to Hasan. En route, visit Sphatik Shila at Chitradurg on the Tungbhadra River. Stay overnight.

Day 33: Check out and continue the journey to Mysore. Experience darshan at the Kodand Ram Temple and stay overnight.

Day 34: Check out and proceed to Salem. En route, pay respects at Dhanush Koti and Melu Kotte. Stay overnight.

Cities to Visit: HAMPI – CHITRA DURG – HASSAN – MYSORE – MANDYA – SALEM – TIRUCHIRAPALLI

Week 6 - Tiruchirapalli to Mysore (652 kms)

Day 35: Check out and visit the Shri Ram Temple at Ayodhya Pattanam before proceeding to Tiruchirapalli. Stay overnight in Trichy.

Day 36: Visit the Shri Rang Nath Temple, the largest Hindu Temple in the world. Stay overnight in Trichy.

Day 37: Check out and proceed to Podukottai. Along the way, visit Tanjavur, Tiruvarur, and Kodia Karai. Stay overnight.

Day 38: Check out and continue to Rameshwaram. Check in and proceed to Agni Tirth for a holy dip, followed by darshan at the Rameshwaram Temple and enjoy a bath of water from 21 wells. Stay overnight.

Day 39: Visit Dhanush Kodi, the last point of Indian soil and a place where Shri Ram built the Ram Setu (Adam’s Bridge) and enjoy a free day.

Day 40: Check out and proceed to Mysore Airport.

Why do I need you to travel on this route?

This route is said to be taken by Lord Ram during his exile period. The journey consists of some hidden Indian gems, magnificent temples, rich history and exciting story-telling.

What is the food like during this journey?

All meals; Breakfast/lunch/dinner are included with delicious pure vegetarian food from handpicked restaurants.

What should I wear during travelling and in the temples?

Avoid wearing anything that shows skin. Kindly respect the norms and rules of all the holy places. Carry a scarf to all temples to cover your head. Avoid shorts, skirts above knee length.

Can I bring a group of people with me?

This is a small group trip of 16 travellers who are passionate to learn about Indian history, culture and are travel enthusiasts who love road tripping and adventure. If your group falls in this category, they can gladly join us.

Can I skip a visit to a temple or a destination I have already been to?

Yes, you can take the day off and relax at the hotel or roam around as per your convenience while we take the group as per the itinerary. Join us at the hotel in the evening and do tell us about your day!
